Richard is one of the original partners who formed Quest in 1995, and brings a wealth of knowledge in training and management, both with people, and also large key accounts. His development and training background is extensive, and he has gained invaluable experience in working in many different teams and organisations:

He enjoyed 4 years with military teams in the infantry with 1st Battalion The Wessex Regiment; and during 10 years with LloydsTSB he was responsible for the creation of a formal induction and initial training package for all newly recruited sales and account managers. That responsibility included the training and on-going development across all of the sales areas in the Card Services Division.

During 4 years with Schlumberger Richard achieved significant success, once again in the training and development of sales and account management staff, as well as building strong and highly remunerative relationships with all of the UK’s “big four” banks in the integrated circuit cards purchasing areas. The culmination of his time with Schlumberger was the achievement of steering a major banking account into a position of highest revenue earning customer for all of Schlumberger’s Mobile Communications and Banking customers in early 2004.

He is a keen dinghy sailor, fell walker and runner and ran the London Marathon in both 2001 and 2002.

Richard has an unbounded enthusiasm for the outdoors and about its huge possibilities as a venue for helping individuals and teams to develop and reach their full potential.
